Try This Tonight: Stay for 10 More Seconds

Most moments pass quickly. Something happens, you register it, and your attention moves on almost immediately. There’s always something next, and even the good parts don’t get much time to land.

Tonight, when something small stands out, stay with it for ten more seconds. Don’t change anything. Just pause and let it settle. Notice what you feel, or what you might have missed if you had moved on right away.

The instinct is to keep going, to check your phone or move to the next thing. Let that wait for a moment.

Those extra seconds are often where something shifts. It’s the difference between something passing through and something actually staying with you.

What stayed with you when you gave it a little more time?
