MEMILY Child safety Standards

Last Updated: October 8th, 2026

These are Memily’s published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). They apply to the Memily app on iOS and Android, published by Memily, Inc., and to every person who uses it. They summarize commitments that are binding on us under our Terms of Service (Sections 9, 10, 12 and 16) and our Privacy Policy (Section 7). Where this page and the Terms differ, the Terms govern.

1. What is prohibited

Memily prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation in any form. This includes, without limitation:

  • child sexual abuse material (CSAM), meaning any content that depicts or describes a minor in a sexual manner, and any other sexual content involving a minor;
  • grooming, sextortion, and any attempt to solicit sexual content from, or arrange sexual contact with, a minor;
  • trafficking a child for sex, or facilitating it;
  • contacting or soliciting personal information from a minor outside your own family group, as described in Section 9 of the Terms of Service;
  • any content or conduct that otherwise exploits or endangers a minor.

This applies whether the material is real, altered, or generated, and whether it is posted, shared, sent in a comment, or produced in a conversation with Memily AI.

2. How to report

Anyone using Memily can report a post, comment, story, or account from inside the app, without leaving it: open the content or profile and choose Report. Reports that involve child safety are reviewed first.

You can also write to us at safety@memily.com. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

3. What we do

When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM or of child exploitation on the Service, we remove the content and suspend or terminate the responsible account. We may do this immediately and without notice where we believe it is necessary to protect a person or to comply with the law (Terms of Service, Section 10.3). Where the law requires it, we preserve the material and related records for the authorities instead of deleting them outright.

For minor accounts, Memily also runs an automated safety-alert process on conversations with Memily AI. It generates category-level alerts to the minor’s guardian, and where a pattern indicates abuse or imminent danger we may contact child-protective authorities or law enforcement instead of, or in addition to, the guardian (Terms of Service, Sections 12.3 and 12.4).

4. Reporting to authorities

Memily reports apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as required of providers under United States federal law, and cooperates with law enforcement and child-protective authorities in the United States and in other countries where the law requires it. Nothing in our Terms or Privacy Policy limits that obligation (Terms of Service, Section 16.2(d)).

5. Compliance with child safety laws

Memily complies with the child safety laws and regulations that apply to it, including the reporting duties placed on providers of interactive computer services under 18 U.S.C. § 2258A, and we review these standards as those laws change. Memily does not allow accounts for children under 13 (Terms of Service, Section 3.2); minors aged 13 and over use Memily only under a guardian-managed account.

6. Child safety contact

Our designated child safety point of contact, who is able to speak to our prevention practices and our handling of reports, is:
